To support organizations in developing, implementing, preparing, and achieving certification to the latest version of the SQF Food Safety Code (Edition 10), ensuring alignment with global food safety and quality expectations. This project-based service enables the client to meet certification requirements efficiently while ensuring organizational readiness for third-party audits.

Scope of Work

1. SQF System Elements Development

  • Interpretation and implementation of revised system elements and Good Industry Practices (formerly GMP/GWP modules).

    Integration of risk-based thinking across all programs, including supply chain, allergen control, sanitation, and food defense.

    Establishment of a measurable Food Safety Culture program, including leadership commitment and employee involvement.

2. SOP Development and Customization

  • Identification of procedure objectives and boundaries per revised system requirements.

    Drafting, internal review, approval, and formatting of programs, policies, procedures, forms for records, and training lessons in accordance with Edition 10 structure and risk management expectations.

    Creation of interactive SOP templates with version control and digital record-keeping compatibility (to support traceability and electronic audits).

3. Documentation System and Records Control

  • Development of document control procedures tailored for electronic or digital systems, including cloud-based options if preferred.

    Assistance in setting up digital registers and audit trails where applicable.

4. Food Safety Culture Program Development

  • Evaluation of organizational readiness for Food Safety Culture measurement.

    Guidance on defining culture objectives, performance indicators, and ongoing monitoring methods.

    Optional support for internal Food Safety Culture surveys or self-assessments.

5. SQF Practitioner Support

  • Identification or qualification review of designated SQF Practitioners per Edition 10 competency requirements.

    Recommendations for required training (e.g., HACCP, internal auditing, and Food Safety Culture).

6. Certification Readiness and Audit Support:

  • Registration guidance on the updated SQFI Assessment Database.

    Scope determination support (products, processes, FSC categories) based on Edition 10 criteria.
